Dear Green Ridge Elementary and Eagle View Middle School Families,
We want to keep you updated on the progress of the construction projects at Green Ridge Elementary School and Eagle View Middle School. Both projects have faced delays, primarily due to weather conditions that impacted weather-dependent activities. Additionally, the Eagle View project has encountered challenges with securing the necessary permits, which has further contributed to the delay. We understand how important it is for you to stay informed about the work taking place and how it may impact your daily routines. These ongoing construction efforts are essential in enhancing both schools’ facilities, ensuring that students will have modern, well-equipped learning environments for years to come.
At Green Ridge Elementary, construction is steadily moving forward, with key milestones reached recently. Work on the classroom additions (pictured A & B) is progressing, with the slab-on-grade foundation now complete and block wall construction well underway. Similarly, the two-story addition (pictured E) has entered its early stages, with subgrade preparation in progress. Additionally, the removal of the existing playground has been completed to make way for the installation of an underground water retention system, designed to improve stormwater management on site. Grading efforts are also continuing to prepare for an upgraded internal roadway system to better accommodate traffic flow.
At Eagle View Middle School, crews are preparing the site for the two-story classroom addition, with excavation and soil preparation underway to ensure a stable foundation. Additionally, preparations are being made for the next phases of construction, including foundational work and utility installations. To accommodate project delays, we have adjusted the timeline and phasing to ensure the project will be completed on time. As part of this adjustment, the Class of 2030 will be relocated to a dedicated wing of the CVHS 10-12 building on the main campus for the 2025-2026 school year. This move is essential to maintain the safety and well-being of our students and staff during the renovation.
We truly appreciate your understanding and continued support as we work to bring these essential improvements to both schools.
