Greetings Shaull Families,
Thank you for coming out to conferences last week! It was great to see so many families in the building that day engaged with their children's teachers! As a reminder, next week is a short school week, with full days on Monday and Tuesday, and an 11:55 dismissal on Wednesday. Kindergarten families should note that there is no school for Kindergarten students on the 11:55 Early dismissal days. Thanksgiving break will run from Thursday, November 28 through Monday, December 2. That same week on Thursday December 5th, we will have another 11:55 Early Dismissal and No School for Kindergarten. The following day, Friday, December 6th, we are also closed with No School in Session. These two days inclusive of an early dismissal and a day off from school are due to the school district's arrangement with the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) to host Football State Championships at CV's Chapman Stadium. Doing so, requires resources from all of our schools and provides our community an excellent chance to see state championship level football right in our own backyard!
This week, we were able to honor two of our esteemed classroom teachers, Mrs. Still in 4th Grade and Mrs. McInroy in 1st Grade. Please see the section below to learn more about their milestones!
As you have noticed, the weather finally turned much colder late this week. Many students were not prepared for outdoor recess when the temperature was in the 40's. This would be a great time to be sure your student leaves home each day with a coat, hat, gloves, and a scarf as we will continue to have outdoor recess throughout the winter months. We have a limited supply of extra coats here at the school. If your family needs assistance with winter gear for school, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or our school counselor, Mr. Barrick.
Thank you for reading this edition of Shark Bites. Have a great weekend!
Respectfully,
Mr. T.
