Greetings Shaull Families,
In this edition of Shark Bites, join us in celebrating our December Portrait of an Eagle (POE) Award Recipients for the POE competency of Communication! These Sharks go above and beyond with their communication skills in their classrooms and around our school!
We thank our Shaull PTO and Room Parents for hosting our Winter Socials today! These events would not be possible without the contributions from our PTO and the time each room parent puts into the social. Thank you for helping to make these memorable moments for our students!
Save the date for our Winter Chorus concert on Thursday, January 15 at 7:00 PM at the Mountain View Middle School Auditorium! Mrs. Schade has been working with our 4th and 5th grade students over the last several months and they are going to sound out of this world!
Speaking of the world, our Galaxy Games initiative officially kicks off on Friday, January 9th at our Galaxy Games Kickoff Assembly! We are excited to introduce which classrooms are on the Blinking Eye, Butterfly, Firework, and Bearpaw Galaxy and to begin awarding points to those who are winning friendly competitions and showing their POE competencies around our school!
The Winter Break begins on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 23 following our 11:55 AM Dismissal. There is no kindergarten on Tuesday, 12/23. Students will return to school on Monday, January 5th. During the month of January, all students K-5 will be embarking on our Winter Benchmark Assessments. Following our review of the data later in January, we will be adjusting SOAR groups to ensure all students are receiving targeted intervention skills in an area of need. If you haven't had a chance to check out our winter-themed decorated classroom doors, jump over to our school facebook page and take a look at our post from 12/11. Enjoy the Winter Break with your families! We will see you in January! Respectfully, Mr. T. |

| Our PTO works diligently to plan and host wonderful experiences for our students and families.
In order for our PTO to be successful for current and future generations of Shaull students and teachers, we need participation by our parents. Please reach out to me or the PTO at shpto@cvschools.org, or rtysarczyk@cvschools.org for information on how to attend a Zoom PTO meeting or how to get involved in our events. Our PTO meetings are the second Wednesday of each month and generally are 30-45 minutes in length.
