Greetings Shaull Families,
With Valentine's Day coming up, we would like to share with you some general guidelines relative to Valentine's Day Cards/Treats and the classroom social.
We will once again be able to have students distribute Valentine's to one another, however, we need to stress that students should not be sharing food/snack/candy items with one another. Items given with cards should be of a "non-edible" nature. We understand that many families may have purchased Valentine's Cards already. If they include candy as part of the Valentine, they may distribute the cards, but students will not be able to eat the candy at school or on school buses. Additionally, if your child is distributing Valentine's Day cards to classmates, they must have a card for each classmate.
Unlike the Fall and Winter socials, this event is led by the classroom teacher without parent volunteers. However, if room parents would like to assist with treats/food items, they may. All food items must be prepackaged and consistent with classroom allergy/dietary needs while adhering to the CVSD Wellness Policy. If you plan to contribute to your child's Valentine's Day class party by providing a treat, it is best that they arrive prior to the day of the party (Wednesday 2/12).
We appreciate your understanding and support as we look forward to a positive and healthy experience!
Also today is the final day to donate towards Shaull's donation drive for Four Diamonds! Our Mini THON event is today and our big reveal will be at the end of the school day! Our goal was to raise $6000 for Four Diamonds this year. The link to donate is HERE!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Mr. T.
